My Mind is on Fire


My mind is on fire.

I hear and feel your warm

voice upon my ear.

Like a vision

for the insane you

appear in my dreams.


There is hope still in

those little deaths we call

sleep.  A flame unfolds

burning inside.  It

makes an outline around

my heart.  This false hope


keeps me smiling in

my other life, where I

could have anything

that my heart desires.
